Linda marked it as to-read Mar 27, This is the only Blackjack book that is easy to understand and This book has sold more copies since it’s initial release than any other gaming book. The book features a new Basic Strategy for one deck, the first accurate Strategy to be published for four decks, and four easy-to-learn Count Strategies including the Revere Point Count Strategy, which is the most accurate and most powerful strategy that has ever been published.

In it’s day, this was an excellent book on blackjack. Prior to this new edition there was no foolproof way to learn how to play Blackjack accurately. Revere then discusses what he calls the “Ten Count Strategy”, which I found to be unnecessarily complex and confusing, followed by his “Revere Point Count Strategy”, which is a level 2 counting system. Lawrence Revere – Master of Blackjack

I wrote with Kenny and five other experts for Gambling Times Publications back in the early 80’s and Kenny was probably the most accomplished of the bunch.

Unfortunately inhe passed away from cancer but his information lives on in the game of blackjack. Cherry Jackpot Accepts US players, credit card deposits, bitcoin and more. The author then describes playiing very basic counting strategy he calls, the “Revere Five Count Strategy”.

He does not speak in his book about how to avoid detection. This made sense at the time the book was written, but both types of games are pretty rare these days.

I consider it a must read. Lawrence Revere is a respected professional gambler, author and card dealer. All of that information is still quite useful. These were promoted in his book called “Playing Blackjack as a Business”.

Lawrence Revere died over 30 years ago so the book is at least that old. He fought for seven weeks and lost his battle with the cancer on April regere, The strategies were devised from computer runs by Julian H. I still have the book in my library and if for no other reason than nostalgia it is worth having if you are at all serious about the game. So, how does Revere’s work stack up today?


Many of today’s players could still learn a thing or two from Revere on this topic, although similar information is available from Stanford Wong’s Basic Blackjack and Peter Griffin’s Theory of Blackjack.
